EMDM Highlights Submission
To keep track of and highlight all of the activities that come out of the EMDM program at LSU, we ask that EMDM affiliated students, staff, and faculty submit anything of note! This may include performances, awards, grants, papers, posters, presentations, compositions, commissions, collaborations, installations, Conferences, Festivals, Symposia, and so forth
LSU Composition & EMDM Sonic Art Repository
We have a massive amount of music, sound design, and sound effect needs for many entities on campus:
The Theater Department including Dance and Physical Theater, Film & Technology and traditional theater is in need of music, sound effects, and environmental sounds (Foley) that can be used in their works that are shown at their annual showcases, and the Take X Film Festival. The Digital Media Arts & Engineering program is in need of music, sound effects, environmental sounds, and User Interface interaction sounds to implement in their interactive media projects DMAE, WICS, Cultural Computing, and DADA all host various Game Jams, Animation Jams, etc. and are in need of Music, Sound Effects, Interaction Sounds, etc. for games, animations, digital videos, etc.
As LSU has an excellent collection of Composers, Sound Designers, Sonic Interaction Designers, and performers, we feel that it is vital to provide a mechanism for sharing work so that others may be able to enrich their own art with LSU developed music. We have started a repository for LSU works to get this started.
You retain all rights to your work and will control how and where your music gets used, what types of projects you allow, and whether you need to be contacted for approval to use, edit, etc. on each piece.
Please consider this opportunity to engage in collaborative art works, experience using your music in different domains, and possibly make connections with other artists to develop collaborations in the future. For this reason, current LSU Students as well as LSU Alumni are encouraged to participate.
