We have a block of rooms reserved for $80/night. This is a pretty basic hotel, but accessible by LSU Tiger Trails bus for those not renting cars. To book at La Quinta, call 1-866-527-1498 and use confirmation code 0574 593. There are enough rooms reserved to accommodate everyone attending NSEME, but they will only be held until 2/16/2017.

Though not as cheap as La Quinta, this Radisson is located in the same area and also accessible by LSU Tiger Trails bus.

There are some very nice, affordable options for Airbnb in Baton Rouge. Search in the LSU campus area or Spanish Town, Garden District, and Southdowns neighborhoods.
Airports
Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) – http://flybtr.com/
This is the closest airport to the LSU campus, though flights are usually considerably more expensive than they are at MSY.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) – http://flymsy.com/
Despite the name, this airport is actually located in Kenner, approximately 1 hour by car from Baton Rouge if traffic is light.
Flights are generally much cheaper than at BTR, but ground transportation options are non-existent. Car rental and/or carpooling to and from MSY is recommended.
